Andersonville - Chicago | Saturday, December 10, 2011
Although I've successfully avoided any Holiday themed photography until now (nothing against the holidays-- I've just been slow to get in the mood), I couldn't resist stopping by Clark St. in Andersonville today to photograph the Santa Speedo Run. I figured it would be fun to photograph and it was. I almost missed it-- it started a bit earlier than scheduled and I was shopping in Alamo Shoes at the time. Someone began shouting "the Santas are coming, the Santas are coming!" and then half naked Santas could be seen parading past the store. I quickly popped outside to take a few photos. I used the awning outside Alamo (cropped out of the photo above) as a shield against the sun, since otherwise light flare would have ruined the photo.

Hilarious photo. A friend of mine ran in this and he said it was boat loads of fun, but very cold!
