Photo of the Week: Fallow
Nikon D7000 w/ 16-85mm lens, 1/1000sec at f8, ISO200. © Andy Marfia 2011 All Rights Reserved.
An undeveloped tract of land in Chicago's China Town. In the background is the CTA's Orange Line and a relatively new housing development. I've titled this one "fallow", which is a word usually used to describe farmland that's left unused for a period of time, as a means of rejuvenating the soil. I thought that was fitting here, except the crops in this case are homes that haven't been built, likely due to the housing market collapse in 2008.
