This week's photo was taken at the Thorndale end of Hollywood beach, in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood. The lake in this shot is hidden behind this outcropping of rocks, which these kids were having fun climbing onto. I don't blame them-- the winter that was never much of a winter has transitioned into a March that feels a lot like summer. The temperature was pushing 80 when I took this photo.
