Photo of the Week: Stop War!

As American's we're very eager to stop things.  We're so eager to stop things, in fact, that we feel compelled to write about it on stop signs.  Never mind that it's a misdemeanor and could result in a fine, or worse case scenario cause an accident, stop signs exist and therefore they must be defaced.

While not condoning such behavior, I certainly enjoy photographing it.  I came across this anti-war message recently in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood:

Stop War! All Way

And on a less serious topic, here's one that I stumbled across in 2008:

U Can't Touch This

Note: I reprocessed that second photo to bring it up to 2013 standards.  That file was only uploaded at 800px and had tons of chromatic aberration-- something I just didn't pay as much attention to back then.

I've seen this a lot in Seattle. It's mostly college kids who do the defacing, I suspect.

Love the second photo.
