Photo(s) of the Week: Ascend / Descend

The Chicago Air and Water Show seems to equally divide the populous every year: on the one side are those who claim that it's noisy, military propaganda.  On the other side are the "fighter jets are cool!" crowd.  Which ever camp you happen to fall into, it's hard to deny that it does make for some dramatic photographs.  Here's two that I've edited thus far.  The first is called "Ascend" and the second "Descend":

Both shots were taken near Montrose Harbor.  Ground zero for the show is the North Avenue Beach, but I simply don't have the patience to deal with the crowds at that spot.  The Montrose Harbor area was much more relaxed.
